"The AQ team were an absolute pleasure to work with and demonstrated extensive knowledge of Asana. The training sessions were engaging and highly effective, especially for team members new to the platform. Amy kept us engaged throughout the virtual sessions and ensured that any outstanding questions were addressed promptly. I would highly recommend AQ to anyone looking to upskill with Asana."

- Jen Feinstein, Membership Engagement & Outreach Manager, Carbon Market Institute

SITUATION

The Carbon Market Institute had been using Asana for over four years, originally introduced as part of a project management training initiative. However, with recent staff turnover and new team members joining, there were varying levels of familiarity and engagement with the platform. Some team members expressed reluctance to fully adopt Asana, creating a need to ensure everyone had a foundational understanding of its capabilities.

The organisation sought to align its use of Asana with key goals: improving personal productivity, enhancing team collaboration, and bridging the gap between strategy and delivery. With a total of ~15 staff, their processes relied on tools like event templates and workflows for inbound requests managed through a traffic manager. The primary objective of this engagement was to demonstrate the benefits of a work management and collaboration platform, deliver in-person "Asana 101" training, and help the team see how Asana could reduce "work about work."

APPROACH

carbonmarket-approachv2

Our Asana Foundations training for the Carbon Market Institute followed a structured, four-phase approach: Preparation, Training Delivery, Impact Review, and Planning Next Steps. We began with discovery calls to align on goals, logistics, and training needs, and developed customised materials tailored to their objectives. This was followed by two interactive virtual training sessions, each 1.5 hours long, focusing on Asana features, team conventions, and productivity strategies, with Q&A and use-case deep dives. After the training, we conducted an impact review to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Finally, we collaborated with the team to create an action plan for embedding best practices into their workflows and offered follow-up support if needed.

OUTCOMES

The Carbon Market Institute's team developed a strong foundational understanding of Asana, enhancing their project management capabilities and fostering better collaboration across the organisation. The training recordings provided by AQ continue to serve as a valuable resource for ongoing learning and implementation, ensuring the team can confidently apply their new skills.
