Client Stories: Woomargama Station Website Refresh

Nestled on the edge of The Great Dividing Range near the Murray River, Woomargama Station has undulating hills which suit their poll hereford cattle and merino sheep grazing. They have some highly productive flats with improved (non native) grasses and box woodland hills, some of which are managed under Biodiversity Conservation Trust Covenant.

Situation

The message is that you can successfully align farming and sustainability, while maintaining a profitable business.

The goals for our engagement with Clare and Woomargama Station were to improve brand alignment, build an engaging and user-friendly website that supports making a connection with the brand, and improve the ability for others to find the website through search.

APPROACH

DISCOVERY | STRATEGY | PROTOTYPE | ENABLE | REFINE

Josh and Clare were aligned on shared values from the start for Woomargama Station's new website refresh project.

With a combined group of specialists coordinated by Apparatus Quo, we were responsible for working with Clare to define functional requirements and iterate on design concepts. Through this collaboration, we were able to develop an accurate representation the brand in a new WordPress website.

Our group of specialists included:

  • Project Management: Josh Licence, Apparatus Quo

  • Designer: Adriana Sant, Asant Designs (also - their Instagram)

  • BlueRock Digital (website)

    • Digital Advisory: Ryan Kagan

    • Content and SEO: Alex Hollick

    • Web Development: BlueRock Digital Development Team

We took a phased approach to the delivery across approximately three months:

  1. Audience, site structure and digital assets

  2. Content & hi-fi wireframes

  3. Website build and training

  4. SEO (that’s search-engine-optimisation) and content calendar

We also worked with Clare in supporting the decommissioning of the old website, and teach her team how to work and maintain content via the website admin.

OUTCOME

“I worked with Josh Licence on a major upgrade of my Woomargama Station website.

Josh is a terrific listener and worked collaboratively with me to give me confidence to speak in my voice about the values and objectives of our farming enterprise. Along with his design and support team, Josh created a website which reflects not only where we are now, but where we would like to be in the next few years.

As a small business, it is terrific to support another small and innovative business. I found Josh to be efficient, timely and a pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him”
